Motorola has confirmed to host a new event on August 2. The company will unveil the Moto Razr 2022 and the new Moto Edge X30 Pro at the event. Alongside, Motorola will also unveil its new MyUI 4.0. The custom Android skin from Motorola is said to introduce major upgrades in terms of design and features.
According to a MyDrivers report, the MyUI 4.0 update improves the application icon design and will also allow users to customise the system-wide colour palette as per their preference. MyUI 4.0 will also introduce app cross-screen and a virtual mouse function. The latter is likely to use the smartphone’s screen as a virtual mouse through a wireless connection for connecting it to other devices. This could be very useful for users with the new Moto Razr 2022, which has a large 3-inch cover display.
The new MyUI 4.0 update also brings a personalised interface that can intuitively display the phone’s information. There will be many more features, such as a sidebar, application partner, intelligent travel, etc.
Moto Edge X30 Pro
Motorola is also expected to launch the Edge X30 Pro on August 2. The phone is rumoured to launch globally as the Moto Edge 30 Ultra. The phone will draw power from a new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood. It will use Samsung’s 200MP HP1 sensor as its primary camera. There will also be a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP telephoto camera.
The X30 Pro will launch with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Motorola will offer the phone in two colours – White and Grey. The X30 Pro will sport a 6.67-inch 144Hz AMOLED display with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre.
There will be a 4,500mAh battery with support for 125W fast charging out of the box. The device is likely to feature a 60MP front camera. It will run Android 12-based MyUx out of the box.
Moto Razr 2022
Motorola is likely to launch its new Razr 2022 at the event on August 2. There were reports which claimed that the Moto Razr 2022 launch has been postponed. Apparently, Motorola did not want to clash its launch event with the Z Flip 4 launch, which will launch at the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 10. The new details suggest that the company will instead launch the Razr 2022 ahead of the Flip 4 launch.
The Razr is getting quite some upgrades. It will sport a larger 6.7-inch pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate support. There will be a larger 3-inch screen on the outside, which is large enough to play games as well. The phone will have a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide camera. There will be a 2800 mAh battery, according to reports. The phone will come in Quartz Black and Tranquil Blue colours.
