Motorola recently launched its flagship smartphone, the Edge 30 Pro in India. The company announced its premium smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Following the launch, the company is now working on unveiling a budget smartphone under the G-series. The Motorola Moto G22 could be the next smartphone from the Lenovo-owned company.

There is currently no word on the launch date of the G22. Ahead of the launch, design renders of the upcoming budget smartphone have leaked online. Motorola will launch the Moto G22 soon in global markets. Ahead of the launch, the device’s design renders reveal some key features. The phone, for starters, will come with 4G network support. It will draw power from a MediaTek Helio G37 SoC. It will be paired with a PowerVR GE8320 graphics unit.

Motorola is expected to launch the phone with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone will offer storage expansion support via a microSD card up to 1TB. The leaked design renders reveal that the phone has a hole-punch display. The chin is quite thick compared to the other bezels. WinFuture claims that the phone has a 6.53-inch OLED display with support for a 90Hz refresh rate. It has an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on top of the power button.

On the back, there is a quad-camera setup. The phone has a 50MP main camera sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. There will be an 8MP ultrawide camera sensor and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro photography. For selfies, the phone has a 16MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The phone also has a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top edge.

Under the hood, the upcoming Motorola smartphone will have a 5000 mAh battery with support for 10W charging. It will run Android 12 out of the box. The phone should have a layer of MyUX on top of Android. Currently, there is no word on the picking and availability details of the device. Whenever the phone will be announced, it will come in a sole Black colour option, according to the report.
