Motorola India has just released a tweet where it has teased the arrival of a phone that is capable of magnifying the “little joys of life.” It just so happens that an upcoming Motorola smartphone called the Moto One Macro has recently popped up in quite a few leaks, which leads us to believe that the Lenovo-owned phone maker is planning to unveil this very smartphone in India soon. In fact, the most recent report about this phone even claims that the One Macro is to make its way to the Indian market as early as next week. Let’s take a look at all the information we have about this upcoming handset from Motorola.

Almost all of the specifications and appearance of the Moto One Macro were revealed to us a few days ago when a Saudi Arabian e-commerce site accidentally took the phone’s product page live. While the listing has now been taken down, it was visible long enough for numerous publications to record and report all of the data available.
The Moto One Macro’s standout feature is meant to a 2MP macro lens that will sit alongside a 13MP primary rear camera and a 2MP depth sensor. This setup is also said to feature laser-assisted autofocus. The naming convention is in line with all of Motorola’s other One-branded smartphone, the most recent of which is called the Moto One Action that comes with an ‘action cam’ capable of capturing horizontal videos while the phone is held vertically.
Coming back to the One Macro, the phone is expected to offer a MediaTek Helio P60 SoC paired with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM on the base variant. There should also be a 4GB RAM model, with storage options being limited to 32GB and 64GB. For software, the phone will run stock Android 9 Pie. Coming to security, the primary means of biometric unlock option here will be a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and we are sure face unlock capabilities will be offered via the selfie camera that is housed in a waterdrop notch above the display.
The retailer listing also reveals a SAR 899 price tag of the Moto One Macro, which translates to approximately INR 17,000. Based on what the Moto One Action and Moto One Vision cost in India, we don’t think the listed pricing is indicative of the One Macro’s final retail price. We expect the smartphone to be priced closer to the INR 12,000 mark when it comes to India.
