Roughly a month after its official announcement at IFA 2018 in Berlin, Motorola recently launched the Android One Motorola One Power smartphone in India. As promised the Motorola One Power has been designed specifically for the Indian market. The budget Android One smartphone boasts of impressive hardware specifications and a solid build, making it a strong rival to popular budget Android smartphones such as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. However, the smartphone does lack one key feature that some of its rivals offer – Dual 4G VoLTE support, fortunately, an exclusive report claims the Motorola One Power will be gaining Dual 4G VoLTE support with the upcoming Android Pie update.
Motorola One Power to Get Dual 4G VoLTE Support, Pie Update
The report claimed reliable sources at Motorola have confirmed that the manufacturer is currently testing support for Dual 4G / Dual VoLTE services on the Motorola One Power. Motorola reportedly plans to roll out Dual 4G VoLTE feature for the Android One smartphone along with the Android 9 Pie update. While the majority of its rivals are not expected to receive the Android 9 Pie update this year, Motorola One Power owners may not have to wait very long. Since it is an Android One smartphone, we expect the Android 9 Pie update to arrive before the end of the year. In fact, Motorola has officially confirmed that the Android 9.0 Pie update for the One Power will be rolled out in India by the end of the year. The report claimed Motorola is already testing the Android Pie beta build for the One Power internally. It is expected that the company may roll out Android 9 Pie soak tests for Motorola One Power owners as soon as the end of October. If everything goes as planned, there is a good chance that the stable rollout could commence by early December.
