Motorola India has decided to slash the price of its popular budget smartphone – the Motorola One Power for the upcoming Flipkart Big Shopping Days Sale. It was just a few months ago that Motorola launched the smartphone in India for Rs.15,999. During the two-day Flipkart sale, however, the handset will see a price cut of INR 1000– effectively bringing down the price of the handset to INR 14,999. Apart from the aforementioned INR 1,000 discount, Motorola has also announced several offers for customers opting to purchase this handset during the sale. Motorola has also added that all new One Power units will come preloaded with the newest Android Pie 9 update out of the box. Let us now take a quick look at some of the bundled offers that you can avail with the Motorola One Power.

Motorola One Power Flipkart Sale: Offers and Discounts

Apart from the INR 1000 discount the handset already gets, users will also be able to avail an additional 10% discount using select credit and debit cards. In this case, Motorola and Flipkart have tied up with HDFC Bank for the same, and you will need an HDFC credit or debit card to avail this discount.  The phone will also be available as part of an exchange offer wherein users will be able to trade in their old phones in lieu of the new Motorola One Power. Those short on cash can also avail the No Cost EMI option available from INR 2500 a month.

Motorola One Power: Specs, Hardware

A budget offering from Motorola, the One Power finds itself being powered by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC that also houses the Adreno 509 GPU to handle graphics. The phone comes in a single variant that gets 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The handset also gets a microSD card slot for additional memory. As for the display, the notched IPS LCD panel measures 6.2-inches across and boasts of  FHD+ (1080 x 2246) resolution. The display also gets a layer of Gorilla Glass for added durability. On the connectivity front, the Motorola One Power is among the cheapest handsets to get a USB Type-C port. Connectivity options include 2G/3G/4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, 2.4GHz + 5GHz, Bluetooth 5.0 EDR + BLE, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, and Galileo. The phone also gets a fingerprint sensor at the rear.

The camera setup includes a  16-megapixel primary sensor with PDAF mated to an f1.8 lens while the secondary rear camera is a 5-megapixel unit with f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera also records 4K videos at 30fps in the highest settings. As for the front facing camera, this uses a 12-megapixel sensor and has an aperture of f/2.0.

Powering all this hardware is a large 5000mAh battery that is more than capable of endowing the phone with day-long battery life.

Motorola One Power: Now with Android 9 Pie

It’s not been too long since Motorola started issuing Android 9 Pie updates to the Motorola One Power. While existing users of the phone will receive the update as an OTA push, all new Motorola One Power units will come with this newest version of Android 9 preloaded at the time of purchase. Motorola claims that the new update will enhance the battery life of the phone. The UI on Android 9 Pie is also claimed to offer an improved navigation experience. Other improvements include a redesigned quick settings menu and a revamped split-screen mode along with a better Do Not Disturb mode. The update also adds support for Dual Sim Dual VoLTE Support.
