Motorola has started rolling out Android 10-based beta software update to the Motorola One Power. Since the software is in a beta stage, it is being rolled out only to those users of the Motorola One Power around the globe, who have enrolled their device in Motorola’s beta program, known as the Motorola Feedback Network. If you aren’t registered with the Motorola Feedback Network, you can join yourself by going through the process in this link.
The update has the build number QPT30.52-2. Currently, we don’t know the update size, but we will soon update the article with exact update size details. The update brings all the new and original features of the Android 10 to the device. Apart from upgrading the OS version from Android 9.0 to Android 10, the update also brings Google’s security patch for Android for the month of October 2019 with it. Here is a complete changelog of the software, as posted by Motorola.
Highlights of this update include:
- Android security updates through October 1, 2019
- Stability improvements: Includes changes that fix bugs and improve the stability of your phone.
Google Pay Doesn’t Work With The Update
If you haven’t received the update already, you can check for it in Settings > About Phone > System update, and click on ‘Check for updates.’ Even though the brand is rolling out the update to all the eligible users at once, it sometimes takes more than a day or two for a complete rollout. It is worth mentioning that Google Pay doesn’t work with the new beta software on the Motorola One Power. Also worth noting is that the update may have many other bugs, which may hinder the standard functionality of the device. Therefore, it is not recommended to use beta software.
Motorola Has Offered Two Major OS Updates To One Power
To recall, the Motorola One Power was launched in August of 2018, with the Android 8.1 software. Since then, the device has received the Android 9 Pie update, and now it is being upgraded to Android 10. Not many manufacturers offer two major OS upgrades to their Motorola smartphones. It is good to see that Motorola isn’t one of them. While we are talking about updates, Motorola has announced that it will soon update the One Zoom and the Moto Z4 to Android 10 OS.
