Motorola is reportedly working on two new smartphones. We have spotted a new Motorola device on the FCC certification authority website. The FCC listing reveals some key details about the upcoming phone from Motorola. Furthermore, the company might also rebrand and launch it as a Lenovo smartphone. The smartphone has been also spotted on TUV Rheinland and EEC websites as well. Here’s what you need to know about the latest Motorola smartphone spotted on FCC certification.
Motorola smartphone appears on multiple certification site
As shown in the above images, the Motorola smartphone will come with model number XT2091. Now, the XT2091-3 model number seems for the Motorola branding, while the XT2091-8 seems to a re-branded version for Lenovo. This is not for the first time we will see the same smartphone with different branding. In the past, Lenovo K12 Note was launched as a re-branded version of the Motorola Moto G9.
Moving on, the FCC listing reveals the back panel of the device. As per the image, the upcoming Motorola smartphone will come with triple-camera setup in a square-shaped module. The second sensor in the first row might be the LED flash. Moving on, there is a fingerprint sensor right next to the camera module. The FCC listing also reveals that the phone will come with 5640mAh capacity with 22.5W fast charging support. The listing also reveals that the rated battery comes with model MC50.
Interestingly, the same battery model has appeared on TUV Rheinland website. The listing shows the battery comes with 5640mAh rated capacity and 6,000mAh typical capacity. This confirms that the Motorola XT2091 will come with 6,000mAh battery. Moreover, the Motorola XT2091-3 has been certified by the Russian’s EEC certification. This means that the launch date of the Motorola phone might not be too far from now.
Could it be Moto G9 Power?
That said, the upcoming smartphone might be Moto G9 Power. Motorola introduced the Moto G9 earlier this year and this could be the Power variant. Generally, the Power model in the series offers higher battery backup as compared to the standard variant. And, the Motorola smartphone comes with a 6,000mAh typical capacity, which one reason why we think it could be Moto G9 Power.
