Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway Official Trailer and Plot
The incident that inspired the story actually occurred to Sagarika Bhattacharya. Sagarika’s family included her spouse Anup, their two kids, and herself. They left everything behind and moved to Norway in search of employment. The children were removed from their custody in 2011 by Barnevernet, better known as the Norwegian Child Welfare Services, because they were not being treated with respect as children. They started by making an unsuccessful appeal to a court in Norway.
After a considerable time had passed, they requested assistance from the Indian government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Before this occurred, Sagarika and her husband had split, and the custody of their children had been given to the child of their biological father. She was granted custody of her child in 2013, after a two-year legal battle that was heard in the Calcutta High Court, thanks to the Indian government’s intervention. The Journey of a Mother, Sagarika’s memoirs, served as the inspiration for the film.
Ashima Chibber is the film’s director, and she co-wrote the script with Sameer Satija and Rahul Handa. Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and Nikkhil Advani produced under the Emmay Entertainment label. The cast of the movie includes well-known actors like Rani Mukerji, Anirban Bhattacharya, Neena Gupta, Jim Sarbh, and others. Namrata Rao edited the movie, and Alvar Kue handled the cinematography.
