Gaming laptop maker MSI joined the line of laptop makers upgrading their devices with Intel’s new 11th generation processors. The company unveiled a new line up of gaming and creator focused laptops, aimed at power users in the country. The laptops include MSI’s Creator Z16, the Creator 17 and the Creator M16 devices. On the gaming side of things, there are new colours from the Sword 15 and Sword 17 laptops, and the Pulse GL series, which includes the MSI Pulse GL76 and GL66. The MSI GE Raider, GP Leopard and GS Stealth are also part of the new gaming laptops being launched in India today.
MSI Creator series
As mentioned before, the Creator Z16, Creator 17 and the Creator M16 are high-end devices aimed at creators instead of gamers. The Creator Z16 is a 16-inch laptop with a 16:10 display with a QHD+ resolution. MSI says the 16:10 aspect ratio is better for designers, allowing more vertical workspace over the 16:9 aspect ratio that most laptops offer. The device also has the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 graphics chip inside with 32GB of RAM. MSI offers 1TB and 2TB storage options globally, but it’s unclear if the same will be sold in India as well.
On the other hand, the Creator 17 laptop runs on a Mini LED display, one of the few laptops out there to use such a panel. MSI is offering a 16-inch display on this with 500 nits brightness and the same 16:10 aspect ratio as on the Creator Z16. The Creator M16 is aimed at users with smaller budgets, and it has a GeForce RTX3050 Ti GPU inside with Intel’s 11th gen Core i7 processor. This too will have the 16:10 aspect ratio and 500 nits brightness.
MSI Gaming series
The update to the gaming series mostly comes in the form of new chips for the company’s Pulse GL, Raider and other series. The new MSI Raider GE76 and GE66 have the same design, but have 17-inch and 15 inch screens, respectively. Both the laptops have overclockable 11th generation Intel Core i9 chips inside, along with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3080 GPU. The GE66 offers up to 4K resolution, but the GE76 is capped at 1080p, which could make sense, given the larger display.
The MSI Pulse GL, Katana and Sword GF series are also being updated with 11th generation chips from Intel.
