MWC 2022: Realme Teases the Launch of the World’s Fastest Charging Technology on February 28

Realme is gearing up for its major launch event next week. The company will unveil the global variants of the GT 2 series at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022. The devices have already been launched in China. At the event, Realme is also confirmed to unveil a new fast-charging solution.

Realme did not reveal many details about the upcoming charging tech it will unveil at the event. However, it does mention that the fast charging tech will be the world’s fastest announced so far. The company previously unveiled its 125W UltraDart fast charging tech that charged a 4000 mAh battery in under 20 minutes. Let’s take a look at the Realme fast charging details that will be unveiled at MWC 2022.

Realme MWC 2022 Event

Realme claims that it will announce the world’s fast charging tech at MWC 2022. It is possible that the company might introduce the rumoured 150W fast charging tech. Realme has not confirmed any details so far. However, reports suggest that the company will unveil its own 150W fast charging tech that will be based on Oppo’s 160W fast charging tech.


Even if Realme does so, it would certainly not be the world’s fastest charging solution. Xiaomi had previously announced its 200W charging tech that claimed to charge a 4000 mAh battery within 8 minutes. 

We will have to wait for a few more days before the company confirms more details about its charging solution. At the event, the company has confirmed the launch of the GT 2 series globally. The GT 2 Pro will launch as the company’s ultra-premium smartphone for the global markets. The devices will debut first in Europe. Realme India’s top chief Madhav Sheth confirmed that the GT 2 series will launch soon in India.

Realme GT 2 Pro Specifications

The top-tier GT 2 Pro comes with a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. It has a peak brightness of 1400 nits and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass. The phone draws power from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It sports a triple-camera setup on the back with two 50MP camera sensors for wide and ultrawide camera sensors. There is also a 3MP microscope camera with 40x zoom capabilities. The GT 2 Pro supports 65W fast charging support for the 5000 mAh battery. It comes with a 32MP front camera sensor.
