Netflix Cuts Prices of Subscription Plans in India, Basic Plan’s New Price is just Rs 199

Netflix, the American streaming service company, has revised the prices of its plans for the Indian market. The company has revised the prices of all four subscription plans that are available in the country. Netflix offers 4 monthly subscription plans – Mobile, Basic, Standard, and Premium. The revised subscription rates are now up to 60% less. Also, Netflix’s most affordable mobile-only subscription plan is now about 25% cheaper and will start at Rs. 149 now. Netflix Mobile Plan

Netflix Mobile subscription plan used to cost Rs. 199 per month. After the revision, the plan has become 25% cheaper and will cost Rs. 149 per month. This also happens to be Netflix’s cheapest monthly subscription plan in the country. The benefits of the plan include streaming 480p content on one device at a time (mobile or tablet only).

Netflix Basic Plan

Netflix’s Basic plan has got a huge price cut and will now cost Rs. 199 per month. It is now 60% cheaper compared to earlier pricing which was Rs. 499 per month. The benefits of the plan include 480p content on one device at a time (mobile, tablet, computer, or television).

Netflix Standard Plan

Netflix Standard subscription Plan will now cost Rs. 499 per month. The plan used to cost Rs. 649 and is about 23% cheaper now. The benefits of the plan include 1080p content on two screens simultaneously.

Netflix Premium Plan

Netflix’s flagship premium plan has also gotten cheaper in the country. It will now cost Rs. 649 and is about 19% cheaper. To those unaware, the Netflix Premium plan used to cost Rs. 799 earlier. The plan offers 4K HDR content on up to four screens simultaneously.

The Mobile plan is the company’s most popular plan in the country and contributes to nearly half of the total subscriber count, according to industry assessment.
