Veera Simha Reddy

Directed by Gopichand Malineni, Veera Simha Reddy is the newest film featuring Balakrishna and Shruti Hassan in the lead. The protagonist of the story is Jai (Balakrishna), the proprietor of an auto shop in Istanbul and a rock in the life of his mother Meenakshi (Honey Rose). In spite of their initial disagreement, he meets aspiring singer Isha (Shruti Haasan) at a pub, and they ultimately fall in love. Just as Jai and Isha are preparing to tie the knot, Meenakshi tells Jai details about her background and the legacy of his father, Veera Simha Reddy (Balakrishna) that she has been withholding from him all along.

Varisu

Thalapathy-starrer action movie Varisu is coming to OTT after it was released in the cinema on January 11. Varisu’s protagonist, Thalapthy Vijay, is a cheerful guy named Vijay Rajendran. The film is reminiscent of a classic Tamil family sitcom. As his foster father dies in an inexplicable situation, his character’s circumstances shift, and he suddenly finds himself in command of a multibillion-dollar corporate empire. Between this expedition and the one that followed, he encountered a multitude of misdeeds and tragedies. The characters of Yogi Babu and Anand Raj help to build the film and urge the audience to applaud.

Prey for the Devil

A new horror movie to join the genre, this one has been directed by Daniel Stamm and is distributed by Lionsgate. It’s about a a nun who trains as an exorcist under the Roman Catholic Church and confronts demonic possession. The story says that the Roman Catholic Church wants to control a global rise in demonic possessions and reopens schools to train priests to perform exorcisms. Sister Ann’s gifts are prolific and she soon finds herself in a battle for the soul of a young girl who’s possessed by the same demon that tormented her own mother years earlier.

The story seems to revolve around a forensic analyst and cop murders that take place by what appears to be a serial killer. And the protagonists need to find that killer.
