Samsung is gearing up for the launch of the successor to the Exynos 1480 SoC, the Exynos 1580 to power the upcoming Galaxy A and Galaxy M series smartphones. Today, we have spotted the upcoming Exynos 1580 SoC in the Geekbench listing.
Exynos 1580 SoC Geekbench Listing
The Geekbench listing reveals that Samsung will launch a new chipset with the S5E8855 model number. A report from Galaxy Club previously confirmed that Samsung is developing the Exynos 1580 SoC, which will bear the S5E8855 model number.
To recall, the Exynos 1480 SoC powering the Galaxy A55 5G debuts with the S5E8845 model number. The listing reveals that the upcoming SoC has scored 1,046 points in single-core and 3.678 points in multi-core tests. The SoC will be paired with a Samsung Xclipse 540 GPU.
The forthcoming SoC will have an octa-core architecture with one core at 2.91GHz, three at 2.60GHz, and four at 1.95GHz. Readers are advised that the Geekbench listing might not be accurate in all situations. We will have to wait for more certifications before confirming the peak clock speed and more details.
The listing also reveals that the SoC that powers the upcoming Galaxy smartphone will pair with 8GB of RAM and run Android 15 out of the box.
