Samsung Galaxy S24 FE (US) With Underclocked Exynos 2400 Spotted on Geekbench

Samsung is setting the stage to unveil its much-awaited Galaxy S24 FE smartphone. Today, our MySmartPrice team spotted this device’s US variant on the popular Geekbench database. This upcoming device will be the successor to the Galaxy S21 FE, launched in 2022. Here’s a closer look at the listing:

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE US Variant on Geekbench Database

The device appeared with the SM-S721U model number and scored 1996 in the single-core and 5678 in the multicore tests. It also confirmed the presence of 8GB RAM and an Android 14-based OS.

The listing also reveals the s5e9945 motherboard, linked to the Exynos 2400 chipset. However, the clock speed appears lower than the standard Exynos 2400, suggesting that the Galaxy S24 FE might use an underclocked version of the Exynos 2400 SoC. Additionally, there are rumours online that the upcoming FE device could feature an Exynos 2400e processor.

We recently spotted the South Korean and Global versions of the Galaxy S24 FE on the Geekbench database. Both are powered by the same underclocked Exynos 2400 chipset.

The Exynos 2400 features a Cortex X4 core at 3.21GHz, two Cortex A720 cores at 2.9GHz, three Cortex A720 cores at 2.6GHz, and four Cortex A520 cores at 1.95GHz. The difference in primary core speeds confirms that Samsung is using an underclocked variant of the Exynos 2400 SoC.

Though Samsung hasn’t shared any details about the upcoming FE device, the certifications suggest a global launch is in the works. However, until we receive official confirmation, it’s best to treat this information with caution.
