Tecno seems to be preparing another book-style foldable that will succeed the Phantom V Fold, launched in April last year. Today, MySmartPrice spotted the upcoming Phantom V Fold 2 on the Camera FV5 database. Here’s the complete scoop.

The listing on the Camera FV5 database has revealed that the upcoming Phantom V Fold 2 will feature a 24.5mm equivalent focal length with an f/1.9 aperture. It will also sport a 12.4MP sensor, which will likely be marketed as a 50MP sensor using pixel binning.
Additionally, the listing indicates that photos taken with this sensor will have a maximum resolution of 4064×3048 and support 1x magnification. The device will also include a manual mode, offering a manual exposure range from 1/10,000 to 30.0 seconds and an ISO range of 50 to 3200.

It’s worth mentioning that this isn’t the first time we’ve spotted Tecno’s upcoming foldable. We previously found it on the Geekbench database in January, where it scored 1,273 in the single-core test and 3,844 in the multi-core test. This indicates that it will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset.
Furthermore, the device has been spotted on Google Play Console and TUV Rheinland. These certifications confirmed that it will have 12GB of RAM, a screen resolution of 2000×2296 pixels, and a screen density of 480 dpi. The TUV certification also revealed a dual battery setup with capacities of 2,973mAh and 2,637mAh, totalling up to 5,610mAh, an upgrade over the Phantom V Fold.
