Telugu OTT service, Aha, and renowned production company People Media Factory collectively created the first season of the online series Newsense. The series finally has a premiere date after being in the news for several days. Speaking on the occasion of the release of the teaser of the show last month, the lead actor of the show Navdeep stated, “In our culture, the media serves as our eyes and ears, informs us of the truth, and holds the powerful accountable. But what occurs if the media is falsified itself? The first season of the web series Newsense dives deeply into the ethical conundrums that face journalists today. I hope that its unvarnished honesty and unrelenting pursuit of the truth will move audiences.”
According to its creators, Newsense season 1 is a moving and uncompromising depiction of the difficulties facing journalists today, from the taxing demands of breaking news to the moral concerns of deciding between truth and popularity. Director of Newsense season 1, Sri Pravin, stated, “This is a narrative that must be shared. The first season of Newsense is a brutal examination of the media industry’s harsh realities and the decisions that journalists face on a daily basis. This online series is intended to start a necessary dialogue about media ethics and the place of the media in modern society.”
