- The Nothing Phone 2 comes with improved Glyph Interface functionalities.
- A leaked render of Infinix’s upcoming smartphone shows a Glyph-inspired design.
- The gaming smartphone will launch in India in August.

Nothing is a fairly new consumer tech brand that has started to make a name for itself. Its smartphones have been making headlines due to their unique look which includes a transparent back and Glyph Interface. But if a new leak is to be believed, it will not stay unique for too long as Chinese smartphone brand Infinix is ready to release its own phone with a similar design.
Infinix Smartphone with Nothing Phone 2 Design Leaks
A well-known and mostly reliable tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) has tweeted a render of an upcoming Infinix smartphone. He obtained the render through a post on the Infinix Community XClub. It shows a smartphone with a back panel design inspired by the Nothing Phone 2.
The rumored Infinix smartphone has dual cameras in the top left corner. There is a C-shaped design below the camera module followed by another design element towards the bottom. These seem like the LED strips which will glow as we get to see on Nothing smartphones.
Unfortunately, the leak does not offer any information about how these LED strips will work. Glyph Interface on the Nothing Phone 2 can be used for various functionalities like creating custom ringtones and assigning them to specific contacts. It can be used as a countdown timer, torch, essential notifications, charging indicator, and volume level indicator. Nothing has even opened it for third-party integrations which is currently supported by Uber. The app uses the Glyph to show the progress of an upcoming ride.
It is unknown if Infinix will simply copy Glyph functionalities or will put its own spin on the feature. One interesting thing to note is that it is expected to be a gaming smartphone. It means while Nothing uses White LEDs for the Glyph Interface, we may see Infinix opt for RGB lighting.
Sharma went on to add that Infinix is most likely to launch the smartphone under a new GT series branding. The company currently sells its phones under the Smart, Hot, and Note series. The new Infinix smartphone is said to launch in India in August. Its pricing is tipped to be much lower than the Nothing Phone 2 which costs Rs 44,999 for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration.
The previous Infinix smartphone launch in India was the Note 30 5G. It sports a 6.78-inch Full HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate. There is Dimensity 6080 processor, up to 8GB RAM, up to 256GB storage, and a 108MP primary camera. You get a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging for a starting price of Rs 14,999. In our review, we found it to be a remarkable upgrade over its predecessor.
