Nokia has launched two new configurations of the Nokia 5.1 Plus in India today. The first one is a 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, and it costs INR 14,999, while the second is a 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, and it costs INR 16,499. Until today, the Nokia 5.1 Plus was available only in 3GB RAM + 32GB storage configuration, which has a price tag of INR 10,999.
Ajey Mehta, Vice President and Country Head for HMD Global, India said, “Fans have loved the Nokia 5.1 Plus, having rated it highly on various channels. We continue to receive love from fans and so, here we are, announcing new higher memory variants of the smartphone, that I have no doubt, will be even more a gamers’ delight.”
Is Nokia 5.1 Plus Worth the Money?
With a price tag of INR 14,999 for the mid-variant, and INR 16,499 for the top-end variant, the Nokia 5.1 Plus competes directly with the likes of Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2, Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, Motorola Moto One Power, and the Xiaomi Mi A2, but is the Nokia 5.1 Plus any better than them? Well, I don’t think so.
All four smartphones that I mentioned above are better than Nokia 5.1 Plus in almost every aspect. As much as I would hate to say this, the Nokia 5.1 Plus offers one of the least features and performance for the price. If you are looking for a smartphone under INR 15,000, I would suggest you go with the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2. You can read its review here.
