Nokia 6.1 Plus: 5 Features the Latest Nokia Android One Phone Shares With Motorola Moto G6 Plus

The Nokia 6.1 Plus is an excellent price/performance smartphone that also belongs to the Android One category of devices. Motorola recently launched its Moto G6 Plus, which happens to be a more powerful version of the Moto G6 and if you haven’t noticed this right now, both the Nokia 6.1 Plus and Moto G6 Plus share some similarities. We have noted each one of them down and detailed them at the bottom for you to get an idea.

Nokia 6.1 Plus: Five Features the Nokia 6.1 Plus Shares With Moto G6 Plus

Display: Both the Nokia 6.1 Plus and the Moto G6 Plus might differ in terms of display sizes, but their design approach remains the same. The Nokia 6.1 Plus sports a 5.8-inch screen while the Moto G6 Plus flaunts a 5.9-inch display. However, both smartphones sport a taller display which is beneficial when users want to watch more content on the screen or have access to more app icons than ever before.

Chipset: While the Nokia 6.1 Plus is fueled with a Snapdragon 636 and the Moto G6 Plus is armed with a Snapdragon 630, the similarity here is that both SoCs belong to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 series. This series is designed to facilitate adequate performance from devices without blowing a hole in the buyer’s wallet. This also means that processing and graphics performance will be marginally different, with the Nokia 6.1 Plus being able to win over the Moto G6 Plus, but only by a fraction and these differences will only be highlighted in benchmarks.

Memory: The Nokia 6.1 Plus and the Moto G6 Plus feature the same memory configurations. The device from HMD Global features 4GB of RAM while the smartphone launched by Motorola also sports the same amount of memory. However, it should be noted that there is also a 6GB RAM variant belonging to the Moto G6 Plus, but the same configuration also comes with the Nokia 6.1 Plus. The difference is that this particular variant of the Nokia-branded handset is only available overseas, where the smartphone is actually called the Nokia X6.

Storage: The Nokia 6.1 Plus and the Moto G6 Plus offer 64GB of internal, expandable storage but if you use a microSD card, it will utilize the second SIM card slot. The Moto G6 Plus is also available in the 128GB storage variant but the fact that both devices offer the same internal memory and that onboard storage is expandable shows that this is a similarity between the two phones.

Battery: The battery capacities of both the Nokia 6.1 Plus and Moto G6 Plus hover around the 3000mAh levels but the similarity here is that both devices provide support for fast-charging. The Nokia 6.1 Plus supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0, while the Moto G6 Plus can receive up to 15 watts of power. Both of these fast-charging techniques will help to top up the battery faster.
