Nokia 7.1 Plus Specifications and Features
The Nokia 7.1 Plus still remains an unconfirmed smartphone from HMD Global. Hence any information about the mid-range Android One smartphone is obtained from leaks, reports and videos that claim to offer confirmed information.
According to persistent reports, the Nokia 7.1 Plus features a 6.18-inch notched display with Full HD+ resolution of 1080×2280 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The leaked images of the device suggest a metal chassis sandwiched between two glass slabs and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
An octa-core Snapdragon 710 chipset clocked at 2.2GHz, could power the Nokia 7.1 Plus. The smartphone could launch in two memory configurations: 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. A dedicated micro-SD card slot could potentially expand the onboard storage by about 400GB.
The mid-range Android One smartphone should have dual rear camera setup, presumably with 13MP + 12MP sensors. The front-facing camera could have a large 20MP sensor.
Surprisingly, the Nokia 7.1 Plus could have a rather small 3,300mAh battery that would receive power through a USB Type-C port, and support up to 18W Fast Charging. TENAA listing of the phone revealed that it will measure 154.8×75.76×7.97 mm.
The Nokia 7.1 Plus may launch in three color options: Red, Blue, and Silver. Being an Android One smartphone, the handset will run on the Android 8.1 Oreo with Android 9 Pie already in development.
Nokia 7.1 Plus Price, Availability
Given the specifications, the Nokia 7.1 Plus appears to be a capable mid-range Android One smartphone. Interestingly, HMD Global has chosen India to launch the smartphone. Hence the Android handset should be first available in India, and then across the world.
According to previous leaks, the Nokia 7.1 Plus will launch with a price tag of Euros 399, which roughly translates to Rs. 34,000. HMD Global has been launching quite a few Nokia branded smartphones at attractive and aggressive prices. Hence the Nokia 7.1 Plus may sport a price tag below the Rs. 35,000 mark.
