The Nokia 800 Tough feature phone was unveiled alongside the Nokia 110 and the Nokia 2720 feature phones at the IFA 2019 in Berlin, Germany. While the Nokia 110 made its way to the Indian market, the other two smartphones are yet to arrive in the country. Well, there is good news.

An Indian mobile retail chain, Sangeetha Mobiles, has accidentally posted an image on Twitter revealing that the Nokia 800 Tough is soon coming to the Indian market. The exact launch date, however, is still unknown. That being said, you can expect it to launch in India before the year-end. Since Nokia hasn’t launched this smartphone in any country so far, its pricing is unknown. I hope Nokia prices it below INR 5,000, or I doubt people will buy it.

Nokia 800 Tough Specifications

The Nokia 800 Tough features a 2.4-inch TFT display with 320 x 240 pixels resolution. The handset features a 2MP camera at the rear, along with an LED flash. However, there is no front-facing camera. The phone packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 chipset; it has two Cortex-A7 CPU cores and Adreno 304 GPU. There is 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The handset runs on KaiOS, and you get a few pre-installed applications with the device, including Facebook and WhatsApp. There is also an application store to download additional apps.

In terms of connectivity, you get dual-SIM with 4G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and microUSB port. There is a 2100mAh battery. Surprisingly, the battery isn’t removable, unlike other feature phones. And that is most probably to avoid the water entering into the device, as the phone offers IP68 water and dust resistance. The handset is also MIL-STD-810G certified, and it can withstand drops from up to 1.8 meters, at least according to Nokia. The ruggedness of the device will surely attract many Indian consumers.
