Nokia has sent invites to the media for an event dated on the 6th of June in New Delhi. Although the event invite does mention what the event is going to be about, it is expected to be the India launch event of the Nokia 9 PureView. It makes more sense when you consider that the Nokia 9 PureView is the only major device that has been launched globally, but hasn’t made it to India yet. Hence, I think it is safe to believe that Nokia 9 PureView is launching in India on the 6th of this June.

Nokia 9 PureView Expected Price in India

The Nokia 9 PureView comes only one configuration internationally – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. And it costs $699 globally. That translates to around INR 49,000 with the current currency conversion rate. Expect the Nokia 9 PureView to cost the same in India, if not, it could be priced at a maximum of INR 55,999 in India.

Nokia 9 PureView Specifications

The main highlight feature of the Nokia 9 PureView is its penta-camera setup. Yes, the device has a total of five rear-facing cameras – 2x 12MP RGB sensors, and 3x 12MP monochrome sensors. Well, Nokia isn’t counting the ToF camera in that. If you consider the ToF camera, the device has a total of six rear cameras. According to Nokia, the device captures images with all the five cameras and combines those images to produce a final picture. This, as a result, is said to offer a better picture quality. The rear camera setup can record 4K videos at 30 frames per second. Video recording at 4K60FPS is sorely missed. The front-facing camera is a 20MP unit.

The smartphone features a 5.99-inch P-OLED display that has a QHD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Fortunately, the display does not come with any kind of notch. That being said, it has comparatively thick bezels around the display. The screen features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and it even has HDR10 capability. Speaking of the screen, the device comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Moving on the processing hardware, the Nokia 9 PureView comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. The chipset has four high-performance Kryo 385 cores to take care of heavy tasks, four Kryo 385 for less intensive tasks, and Adreno 630 GPU. As I have mentioned earlier, the Nokia 9 PureView comes in only one variant globally – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The device runs on Android 9 Pie operating system, and it is an Android One device.

The Nokia 9 PureView packs a 3320mAh battery that supports 18W Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging. Additionally, it even supports USB Power Delivery protocol, and fast wireless charging at 10W. Needless to say, the device packs all the connectivity features for a smartphone of this price, including USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, and dual-SIM with dual-VoLTE. The smartphone also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack.
