Nokia 9 PureView Price in India, Offers

The Nokia 9 PureView has been priced at INR 49,999 in India. Only one memory configuration is offered with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and there is only one color variant that exists – Midnight Blue.

According to HMD Global’s press release, the smartphone’s listing is said to go live on Flipkart and Nokia’s website today (July 10, 2019). While this is true for the Nokia India’s online store, at the time of writing, the listing for the smartphone is yet to go live over on Flipkart. Nokia did also say that the phone will be going on sale via retail stores by July 17. While this is not ideal, the phone should be available for online purchase before then.

To make the purchase more enticing for potential buyers, Nokia will be offering quite a few launch offers. Buying the phone from Nokia’s website will get you a gift card worth INR 5,000. As a limited time offer, all those who purchase the Nokia 9 PureView will also be receiving a free pair of Nokia 705 True Wireless Bluetooth earbuds.

Offline buyers also stand to get a free pair of Nokia 705 earphones. Furthermore, those who make offline purchases using HDFC Bank credit and debit cards via Pinelab terminals will also get 10 percent cashback. 10 percent cashback will also be provided to those who opt for HDFC consumers loans. Both cashback offers will be offered only until August 31.

All new Nokia 9 PureView owners will also get free premium concierge experience via Nokia Mobile Care for free for the first 30 days. This essentially grants owners access to an exclusive support team along with master trainers that can help them out with tips to better use their new handset.

Nokia 9 PureView: Too Little Too Late?

The Nokia 9 PureView comes loaded with the last generation Snapdragon 845 chipset. Furthermore, while the use of two 12MP RGB and three 12MP monochrome sensors at the back certainly sounds impressive, pretty much all reviews out there claim the resulting image quality processing speed to be underwhelming. The display is top-class as well, with a qOLED panel that measures 5.99-inches, bears a FULL HD+ resolution, supports HDR10 content, houses an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and gets Gorilla Glass 5 protection. However, the sizeable bezels at the top and bottom of the screen make the phone look a bit outdated. A saving grace here is the presence of an IP67 water and dust resistance rating.

The Nokia 9 PureView gets a rather small 3320mAh battery. This charges over a USB Type-C port, supports 18W fast charging, and even supports Qi wireless charging. The phone does, however, miss out on the headphone jack. Other than the penta-camera setup at the back, there is a 20MP front-facing shooter provided for selfies. This is a dual SIM capable smartphone that also supports Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, and NFC.
