HMD Global launched the flagship Nokia 9 PureView back in 2019 in India and it was initially introduced back at Mobile World Congress 2019. At the launch, the device ran on Android 9 and back in April 2020, the device started receiving the Android 10 update in India. As per HDM Global’s initial Android 11 update plan, the Nokia 9 PureView was scheduled to receive the update in Q2 2021 and later it was pushed to Q3 2021 and finally, in Q4 2021, now the company has confirmed the phone won’t be getting Android 11 update.

The website says it was a tough choice to make, but this has been done to offer the best possible smartphone experience, day in and day out. Further, one of the primary reasons for not pushing the update is because of the incompatibilities between the camera and the software that led to a compromised experience and did not meet the standards. However, the phone will continue to receive security updates.
