HMD Global could launch another smartphone under the series. This 5G smartphone could launch as the Nokia X50. According to NokiaPowerUser, the device will be a Nokia 8.3 successor. It will feature a Penta-camera setup on the back, which was found on the Nokia 9 PureView. The phone will feature a 108MP primary camera lens. Nokia is working on a new 5G smartphone with a 108MP Penta-lens setup. The device could launch under the X-series.
According to NokiaPowerUser, the phone is likely to launch as the X50. The report states that it could launch as a Nokia 8.3 successor. However, one of the reported specs suggests that the phone will instead launch as a Nokia 9 PureView successor. It states that the device will have a Penta-camera setup on the back. HMD Global had first introduced the Penta-camera setup on the 9 PureView. It featured five 12MP camera sensors, three of which were monochrome lenses.
Nokia’s upcoming 5G smartphone will have a 108MP primary camera in the Penta-cam setup. Details about the other lenses are unknown at the moment.
Under the hood, the phone will draw power from a Snapdragon 775 SoC. It will pack a 6000 mAh battery. There is no word on the fast charging support at the moment. However, considering the device is a premium offering, it is likely to come with fast charging support.
The phone will have a 6.5-inch QHD+ display with PureDisplay V4. It could feature 120Hz refresh rate support.
HMD Global is yet to officially confirm the device’s launch. However, the report states that it will launch the rumoured device in Q3 of 2021.
