Nokia C22 finally goes official in India after being announced at the MWC 2023 held in February. The new Nokia C22 was launched in a few European markets along with the Nokia C32 and Nokia G22. The latest C-series smartphone has been priced under Rs 10,000 in India and offers entry-level specifications suitable for first-time smartphone users. It flaunts an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance, Android 13 (Go Edition), 13MP dual rear cameras, an 8MP selfie camera, a 5,000mAh battery, and more. The Nokia C22 is available in India in Charcoal, Sand, and Purple colours. It can be purchased from major online and offline retailers across the country. HMD Global is offering the smartphone in two variants – 2GB + 2GB virtual RAM and 4GB + 2GB virtual RAM. Both variants feature 64GB onboard storage, expandable up to 256GB. The Nokia C22 price in India starts at Rs 7,999.
The brand has also partnered with Jio to provide telco offers to the Nokia C22 Buyers. Those on the Jio Plus postpaid plan of Rs 399 users will get special benefits worth up to Rs 3,500 as 100GB additional data worth Rs 1,000 (10 GB additional monthly Data for 10 months) and additional coupons worth Rs 1,000. These coupons include Rs 700 EazyDiner 3-month subscription, Rs 750 off on flight tickets above Rs 4,500 on IXIGO, and a 3-month ET Prime subscription worth Rs 1,100 at just Rs 49.

The Nokia C22 is an entry-level Android 13 (Go Edition) smartphone offering stock Android and a clutter-free experience. The phone features a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a waterdrop notch. The smartphone is crafted from plastic and offers an IP52 rating for protection against splashes and dust.
Powering the performance of the handset is an octa-core Unisoc SC9863A SoC. The processor is backed by up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. There’s a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. The phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, which offers the signature three-day battery life on a full charge. The battery supports 10W charging over a Type-C charging port.
In the camera department, the new Nokia C-series device features a 13MP primary camera on the back accompanied by a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies and video calling, there is an 8MP camera housed in the waterdrop notch on the front. As for connectivity, the smartphone offers dual SIM, 4G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and Glonass.
