Nokia is set to debut its first TV in the Indian market. We know this from the event invite that Flipkart recently sent to the media publications in the country. While a few key specifications of the TV have been leaked earlier, its price was unknown.
Well, a new report from TheMobileIndian claims that the upcoming TV from Nokia will be priced at INR 39,999. According to the publication, its sources reveal that the price is for the 55-inch screen size variant, and it will be the only display size option that the brand will initially launch.
The publication also reveals that the TV will be assembled by Skyworth India Electronics, in collaboration with Skyquad, in Hyderabad, Telangana. The former is a subsidiary of Skyworth Overseas Development, which is based out of China.

Nokia TV Will Be Sold Through Flipkart
Since Flipkart sent the invites for the launch event of the Nokia TV, we think that it will be the exclusive seller of the television in the country, at least initially. Usually, any TV that sells exclusively through Flipkart does not make its way to the offline stores. Therefore, don’t expect the Nokia TV to be available through the local retailers.
Nokia TV Leaked Specifications
According to earlier leaks, the Nokia TV will come with an LCD panel featuring a 4K resolution. That isn’t surprising since most of the TVs in the same price range offer a similar kind of display unit. However, unlike the rest, the Nokia TV is reported to have an Intelligent Dimming technology that is said to tune the contrast automatically for improved black levels.
The TV is said to feature Android 9.0 operating system, which, again, isn’t unexpected, since that is what you get with the other similarly priced TVs in the Indian market. When it comes to audio, an official-looking poster of the Nokia TV that was leaked recently, suggests that its speakers will be tuned by JBL, and there will be Dolby Audio and DTS TruSurround Sound on board.
