This past weekend, an upcoming Nokia smartphone carrying the model number TA-1131 was certified by TENAA in China. Another mysterious smartphone from HMD Global has now been certified by the FCC in the US, bearing the model number TA-1113.
Nokia TA-1113: FCC Certification Granted
The FCC certification does not include any interesting information regarding the upcoming smartphone, except for the TA-1113 model number. However, the FCC listing does tell us that the smartphone will come with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, FM radio, and Dual-SIM support. Since most modern mid-range chipsets come with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac connectivity, the TA-1113 could be an entry-level smartphone.
Nokia TA-1113: An Upcoming Entry-Level Nokia Smartphone?
As of now, there is no other information available online with regards to the specifications of the Nokia TA-1113. Going by the connectivity features listed in the FCC listing, we expect the smartphone to be powered by a lower-end processor under the hood, likely a Snapdragon 400-series chip. Since Nokia has already announced the Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1 smartphones, we think there is a chance the TA-1113 could debut as the Nokia 1.1.
We expect to find out more about the TA-1113 in the coming weeks as it will no doubt start showing up on the websites of multiple certification agencies in the weeks to come. Along with the smartphone’s hardware specifications, its marketing name might also be revealed once that happens. The TA-1113 is not the only new smartphone that HMD Global is working on currently. The Nokia TA-1131, which was certified by TENAA recently, is expected to be launched in China in the coming weeks. It features a 6.18-inch display with 1080 x 2246 Full HD+ resolution and is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz. The smartphone will be offered in two memory configurations – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. For further expansion, the smartphone includes a microSD card slot as well. In the camera department, the TA-1131 packs a 12MP + 13MP dual-camera setup at the rear, identical to the setup on the Nokia 7 Plus. It also features a 20MP selfie camera and a 3400mAh capacity battery. It is currently being speculated that the handset might debut as the Nokia 7.1 Plus.
