HMD Global yesterday, launched the Nokia X7 in China. Going by the name, Nokia 7.1 Plus in the global market, the smartphone comes as the successor to the Nokia 7 Plus. The device draws a little design inspiration from the previously launched Nokia 6.1 Plus. Here, we are listing the differences between the two devices and comparing them to the more affordable Nokia 5.1 Plus. Let’s find out which one of the Nokia smartphones delivers more value for money.
Nokia 7.1 Plus vs Nokia 6.1 Plus vs Nokia 5.1 Plus: Price
The Nokia 7.1 Plus comes in three storage variant. The one with 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage has been priced at CNY 1,699 (Rs. 18,000), while the one with 6GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage has been priced at CNY 1,999 (Rs. 21,000). The 6GB of RAM variant with 128GB of internal storage is available at CNY 2,499 (Rs. 27,000).
The Nokia 6.1 Plus (Review), on the other hand, starts at Rs. 14,999 in India, while the Nokia 5.1 Plus sells for Rs. 10,999.

Like we mentioned earlier, the Nokia 7.1 Plus features the same notched display and the all-glass design as the Nokia 6.1 Plus. The Nokia 7.1 Plus boasts a tall 6.18-inch Full HD+ display with 2280 x 1080 resolution, and an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. The Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with a 5.8-inch IPS LCD panel with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The Nokia 5.1 Plus features a 5.86-inch display with a 1520 x 720 pixels resolution, and an aspect ratio of 19:9.
All the three smartphones come with notched displays. However, the Nokia 7.1 Plus offers a larger screen and better aspect ratio.

Powering the Nokia 7.1 Plus is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset with built-in AI, which happens to be the best processor in the mid-range segments. The Nokia 6.1 Plus comes loaded with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, while the Nokia 5.1 Plus is armed with MediaTek Helio P60 SoC, under the hood. The Nokia 7.1 Plus comes with impressive internals and is expected to deliver a high processing speed. The Nokia 7.1 Plus offers 4GB and 6GB RAM along with maximum inbuilt storage of 128GB, while the Nokia 6.1 Plus comes offers 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. The Indian version of Nokia 5.1 Plus, on the other hand, offers 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory.
Under these three, the Nokia 7.1 Plus takes the cake with its powerful SD710 chipset. The other two Nokia phones settle for less powerful SoCs.

In the imaging department, the Nokia 7.1 Plus comes with a 12MP+13MP rear dual camera setup with Zeiss optics. The front of the device bears a powerful 20MP shooter for selfies and video calling.
The Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with a 16MP+5MP configuration at the rear end, while the front of the device boasts a 16MP unit for selfies. As for the Nokia 5.1 Plus, the handset gets a 13MP+5MP dual-camera combination, mated with an 8MP snapper at the front.
Again, the Nokia 7.1 Plus emerges as the winner with its superior camera setup.
Nokia 7.1 Plus vs Nokia 6.1 Plus vs Nokia 5.1 Plus: Battery, OS
The Nokia 7.1 Plus packs a 3500mAh battery that comes with 18W fast charging support. Both Nokia 6.1 Plus and the Nokia 5.1 Plus get the same 3060mAh battery. And, all the three Nokia devices get USB Type-C port for charging.
As for the software, all the three handsets belong to the Android One family and are currently running on Android 8.1 Oreo. In this segment too, the Nokia 7.1 Plus has an upper hand with higher capacity battery.

While the Nokia 6.1 Plus and the Nokia 5.1 Plus are great devices in their price segments, the Nokia 7.1 Plus is undoubtedly worth its price ticket.
