Nokia is all set to launch the 7.1 Plus, also known as the Nokia X7 on October 16. Earlier this month Nokia teased an upcoming smartphone with a ‘Mega Display’ which now we can confirm was the Nokia 7.1 Plus. In the period before now, there were plenty of leaks revealing what we could expect from the device. However, Nokia has now teased the phone again ahead of its October 16 releases, by showing the front design on an official poster for the Nokia 7.1 Plus.
Nokia Reveals the front design of the 7.1 Plus
Nokia released an official poster for the Nokia 7.1 Plus (X7) recently and showcased the front design of the upcoming smartphone. The poster which reveals the front design showed off exciting design elements added by Nokia to the smartphone. The Nokia 7.1 Plus comes with a full screen, with a narrow bottom border inscribed with ‘Nokia’ in it. However, what’s interesting is the presence of a button on the bottom left of the smartphone. The function of this button is entirely unknown but in the next few days expect more news on it.
The Nokia 7.1 Plus had earlier appeared on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology website in China, which did reveal some of the important specs on the phone and other features.
Nokia 7.1 Plus (X7): Specifications, Features
Earlier it was speculated that the Nokia 7.1 Plus could launch with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset and notch-less display. However, the front design of the smartphone does reveal a notch, but the phone does feature a Snapdragon 710, 2.2 GHz 80core processor. The Nokia 7.1 Plus, alongside an Adreno 616 GPU. The smartphone will run on Android 8.1 Oreo and boast a decent 3400mAh battery.
From what we know so far, the Nokia 7.1 Plus will come with a 6.2-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD+ 2246×1080 pixels in resolution. As for the memory configurations, there are two options with a 4GB RAM+64GB model and a higher 6GB RAM+128GB variant set to be released. As for storage, it could be expanded up to 400 GB via a MicroSD card. The Nokia 7.1 Plus sports a 13MP+12MP dual camera set up at the rear. The rear setup will user Carl Zeiss optics on both sensors, as well as on the front selfie shooter, a tremendous 20MP snapper.
Other features known so far on the Nokia 7.1 Plus includes a dual-SIM slot and support for 4G VoLTE. Other connectivity features offered by the device are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, A-GPS and a lot more.
Nokia 7.1 Plus (X7): Availability and Expected Price
The Nokia 7.1 Plus will release on October 16 although the Indian release date is yet to be revealed. Expect the smartphone to arrive sometime later this year. The Nokia 7.1 Plus is rumoured to be priced, starting from Rs. 21,990 for the base model in India when it releases, although this could change.
