The new Nothing earbuds have the same design language as the original model but come with minor improvements here and there. Nothing has also claimed to improve the overall sound experience of the earbuds. The new Ear (2) is said to offer “next-level personalisation for the ultimate audio experience.”
The new Nothing TWS earbuds is confirmed to be available for purchase in India via Flipkart. Compared to the original model, the new Ear (2) attracts a higher price tag. Let’s take a look at the Nothing Ear (2) price in India, specifications, features and other details.
Nothing Ear (2) Price in India and Specifications
The Nothing Ear (2) has been officially launched in India for Rs 9,999. The earbuds are priced affordably in India compared to the US and UK. In the US, the Ear 1 successor is priced at $149 (roughly Rs 12,300), whereas in the UK, you can get it for £129 (roughly Rs 13,000).
The Ear (2) will be available for purchase in India via Flipkart and Myntra. Nothing also revealed that the TWS earbuds can be bought via select offline stores from March 28 in India.
Moving on to the specifications and features, the Ear (2) is claimed to be re-engineered from the ground up for an ultimate personal listening experience. The earbuds sport the same semi-transparent design as the Ear 1 and have a tall stem for the internal components and press controls. Users can skip tracks, switch between noise cancellation modes, and adjust volume – all with a press. These controls can be customised in the Nothing X app.
There are silicone ear tips as well, which help offer better fit and passive noise isolation.
Each earbud packs an 11.6 mm custom driver for deep, powerful bass and crystal-clear highs. The company claims that the new dual-chamber design also enhances the overall sound quality with smoother airflow.
The earbuds also support dual connection. This means that users can connect the earbuds to two devices at a time and switch between them as per preferences. Ear (2) supports Google Fast Pair on Android devices and Microsoft Swift Pair on Windows devices.
The earbuds are also said to offer improved noise cancellation with personalised Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) of up to 40 dB. Users can also create a Personalised Sound Profile by taking a hearing test in the Nothing X app. The earbuds adjust the equaliser levels in real-time to match the user’s hearing for an optimal listening experience. Ear (2) also offers low-latency game mode support. Once connected to the Phone (1) in Game Mode, the earbuds will automatically turn on Low Lag Mode for an enhanced gaming experience. For non-Phone (1) users, they need to manually turn on Low Lag Mode in the Nothing X app.

For a great calling experience, Nothing claims that the Ear (2) features its best Clear Voice Technology yet. The three microphones on each earbud, with the help of the AI noise reduction algorithm, filter out over 20 million sound samples in real time.
Nothing has added support for the LHDC 5.0 audio codec, which should theoretically help deliver the finest sound over Bluetooth by transmitting frequencies up to 24 bit/192 kHz at speeds of up to 1 Mbps. The earbuds also get a Hi-Res Audio certification, which is claimed to offer an immersive sound experience.
The earbuds are claimed to deliver up to 36 hours of music playback after a full charge of the charging case when ANC is disabled. They continue to provide fast charging support, wherein the earbuds will offer a claimed playback time of up to 8 hours with a 10-minute charge. The charging case supports 2.5W wireless charging as well. The earbuds come with an IP54 rating, whereas the charging case has an IP55 rating. What are your thoughts on the new Nothing earbuds?
