Nothing Phone (1) Android 13 Beta Version Coming by End of 2022

While we are working around the clock, we won't rush on updates at the expense of user experience. This also applies to Nothing OS based on Android 13 where we aim to ship a beta version by the end of the year, with a full release in early 2023.

Carl has reiterated that Nothing won’t rush on updates at the expense of the user experience. He added that the company rolled out three updates for the Nothing Phone (1) within a month of launch in order to improve user experience and improve camera personality, battery life, and more based on the existing users’ feedback.

Carl also revealed that Nothing is looking to create some fun and interesting software experiences with the Nothing OS. To recall, the Nothing Phone (1) comes pre-loaded with Nothing OS 1.0 which is very close to stock Android. It will be interesting to see the additions that the upcoming version of Nothing OS will bring with it.

Nothing recently hiked the prices of the Nothing Phone (1) in India citing currency exchange rate fluctuations and rising component costs. As a result, the Nothing Phone (1) is now Rs 1000 costlier compared to the launch price in the country. This means that one needs to spend Rs 33,999 for buying the base variant of the Nothing Phone (1) in India.
