The Nothing Phone (1) will be the first non-Google device to receive the Android 14 Beta 1 update. However, as of now, Nothing has not revealed the exact timeframe of when the rollout of Android 14 Beta 1 will start for the Nothing Phone (1).
Nothing Phone (1) Will Get the Android 14 Beta 1 Update
Besides Nothing, other OEMs are yet to reveal any details about when their smartphones would receive the Android 14 Beta release. Google’s I/O 2023 event is set to take place on May 10. Maybe on the same day, we can expect Google to release the Android 14 Beta 2 update, and expect other OEMs to disclose the timeline of the Android 14 Beta update for their handset.
Moving on to the Nothing Phone (1) Android 14 Beta 1 update details again, Nothing said that its product team can ensure seamless integration of the upgrade with the Nothing OS, delivering a smooth user experience. Considering that the Nothing Phone (1) will receive the Android 14 Beta 1 update in the coming few weeks, we can expect Nothing to deliver the stable Android 14 update for the device later this year. To recall, Nothing had released the Android 13 Beta 1 for its smartphone in a timely manner. The device has been running on Android 13-based Nothing OS 1.5 since February.
