The Nothing Phone (1) is official as the first smartphone from the company. The much-hyped smartphone of the year was launched today at an event in London. The first smartphone from Nothing is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series 5G chipset and the device comes with a unique semi-transparent design, which is one of the key differentiators compared to the other phones.

The Nothing Phone (1) is a mid-range phone with a good set of specifications for the price. However, the company is focusing more on the user experience and software rather than just the specs sheet. The Phone (1) will be available in India, Europe, and some Asian markets. The device will not be available in North America including USA and Canada. Nothing Phone (1): Price in India and Availability

The Nothing Phone (1) comes in three configurations. The 8GB+128GB is priced at Rs 32,999, the 8GB+256GB model costs Rs 35,999 and the top of the line 12GB+256GB variant is priced at Rs 38,999. The phone will be available in Black and White colour options.

The phone is now available for pre-order for those who purchased the Nothing Phone (1) pass and the open sale will start on July 21st.

Nothing Phone (1): Launch Offers

As for the launch offers, buyers can avail Rs 2,000 instant discount with HDFC bank cards on Flipkart. As a part of the launch offer, all variants will be available of Rs 1,000. Customers who had the Pre-order pass can get the 45W charger for Rs 1,499. The Ear (1) will be available for Rs 5,999.

Nothing Phone (1): Specifications and Features

The Nothing Phone (1) comes with a 6.55-inch OLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G+ processor with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The phone comes in a transparent back with a Glyph interface, which is a set of LED lights present on the back of the phone and is customizable. The phone comes with Gorilla Glass protection on the back as well as on the front.

In the camera department, the Nothing Phone (1) features dual rear cameras on the back with a 50MP (Sony IMX766) primary snapper and a 50MP (Samsung JN1) ultra-wide angle lens. There is a 16MP Sony IMX471 selfie snapper on the front.

Further, the phone draws power from the 4,500mAh battery unit with support for 33W fast charging and also there is also support for 15W wireless charging and 5W of reverse wireless charging. However, the device will not come with a charging adapter in the box. The 45W charging brick, Nothing Power 45W will be sold separately for Rs 2,499. As for the software, the Phone (1) runs on Nothing OS based on Android 12 with near not many bloatware apps.

Other key features include dual-band Wi-Fi, a dual speaker setup, an under display fingerprint scanner, and 240Hz touch sampling rate.
