Nothing Phone (1) Nothing OS 2.0.4 Update: Changelogs and Features

Nothing Phone (1) now supports hidden apps and users can now hide app icons from the app drawer. The hidden apps can be accessed by a left swipe on the app drawer screen. Apart from it, Nothing has also introduced the Photo widget for the Nothing Phone (1) users. This allows users to display their favourite photos on home screen and lock screen.

Nothing Phone (1) Nothing OS 2.0.4 update also brings with it several bug fixes and improvements. The company says that the the cloned instance of WhatsApp now properly supports App Locker. Apart from it, the company has also improved stability of WiFi hotspotting. Take a look at the official changelogs,

New features

• Swipe to the left side of the app drawer to access the hidden icons compartment. Apps placed here will be relocated and hidden from the app drawer.
• Introducing the Photo widget. Display your favourite photos on your home screen or lock screen.

Improvements and bug fixes

• The charging tooltip in the lock screen now more accurately reflects the charging speed.
• Fixed a rare issue causing lock screen widgets to not be displayed properly after restarting.
• The cloned instance of WhatsApp now properly supports App Locker.
• Improved the stability of Wi-Fi hotspotting.
• General bug fixes.

Nothing Phone (1) Nothing OS 2.0.4 update is being rolled out in phases and may not be available on all the Phone (1) units as of now. However, we can expect Nothing to roll out Nothing Phone (1) Nothing OS 2.0.4 update widely in the coming days. You can head over to Settings > System > System update to check for the Nothing OS 2.0.4 update on your Nothing Phone (1).

To those unaware, the Nothing Phone (1) made its debut last year. The company shipped the Nothing Phone (1) with Android 12 based Nothing OS 1.0. It was later updated to Android 13 based Nothing OS 1.5. This was followed by Android 13 based Nothing OS 2.0 update which was rolled out a couple of months back. The Nothing Phone (1) will also receive Android 14 based Nothing OS 2.5 update.
