Nothing Phone (1) Rear Look Officially Revealed Ahead of July 12 Launch

Nothing has teased the design of its first smartphone, the Phone (1). The company has been teasing the launch of its first smartphone ahead of its global debut. The Phone (1) will launch on July 12. Ahead of the official launch, Nothing has revealed the device’s rear panel design. The device shows that the Phone (1) takes some cues from the Ear (1) TWS launched last year.

Nothing previously confirmed that its smartphone will have a transparent back. While the outer shell may be transparent, the device’s internal components have been covered with a white sheet underneath. Nothing Phone (1) Design Confirmed

Carl Pei’s company Nothing has revealed the complete rear panel design of its first smartphone, the Phone (1), which will launch on July 12. The device has a transparent back and a metal frame. While the rear panel is transparent, the internal components have been covered with a layer of white sheets, which has different patterns on them.

The Nothing smartphone has a dual-camera setup on the back. There is also an LED flash next to the camera sensors. Nothing has not yet revealed the camera sensor details at the time of writing this.

At the centre of the rear panel is a huge “C” cutout to highlight the wireless charging support. The phone has a flat frame design with volume keys on the left edge. The power button is located on the right edge of the device.

The device is confirmed to feature a Snapdragon SoC. However, the exact details have not been revealed. It is rumoured that the Nothing smartphone will feature a Snapdragon 778G or Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC under the hood. The phone is also rumoured to support 45W fast charging. At the front, there will be a 6.55-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, according to the rumour mill. 

The phone is rumoured to pack a 4500 mAh battery. Nothing has confirmed that the device will run Android 12-based Nothing OS out of the box. It will be made in India and be available for purchase via Flipkart.
