
Nothing Phone (1) has been officially unveiled in India. The first smartphone from founder Carl Pei’s company debuts in India with three storage options. Nothing Phone (1)’s USP is its transparent design with shiny LED lights, which the company calls a Glyph Interface. The Phone (1) also comes with a Snapdragon 778G+ SoC under the hood.
Being a smartphone under Rs 35,000, the Phone (1) finds itself in the premium segment. The device competes against the likes of the OnePlus Nord 2T and the iQOO Neo 6 5G. Lastly, the Phone (1). It comes in three storage options. The base 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs 32,999, whereas the 8GB + 256GB storage option is priced at Rs 35,999. The Phone (1) 12GB RAM option is priced at Rs 38,999.
Nothing Phone (1) vs OnePlus Nord 2T vs iQOO Neo 6: Design
The design is where the Phone (1) stands out the most. And while the design is purely subjective, the Phone (1) does score points for its unique design language. The glass back is transparent and has LED indicators below it for the Glyph interface. It allows users to set unique light patterns to see who is calling without having to lift the phone. The LED lights also glow when the phone is on charge or when there is an incoming call/ notification. The phone is available in White and Black colour options.
Coming to the iQOO Neo 6, the device uses plastic materials for the back and side frame. It has curved edges on the back. The phone weighs about 190 grams and is 8.5mm thick. The iQOO Neo 6 does not have any official IP rating for water resistance. It has the power and volume buttons on the right edge of the device.
OnePlus Nord 2T comes with a glass sandwich design. The phone has a glass back but comes with a plastic frame. It weighs about 190 grams and is 8.2mm thick. The phone has two giant circular cutouts on the back for the triple-camera setup. It has an alert slider and the power button on the right edge, whereas the volume keys are located on the left.

Nothing Phone (1) has a 6.55-inch flexible OLED display with fairly narrow and symmetrical bezels around it. The display has a hole-punch cutout at the top left corner for the front camera. It comes with HDR10+ certification and supports 1 billion colours. The 120Hz display has a Full HD+ resolution and 1200 nits of peak brightness.
The iQOO Neo 6 has a 6.62-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate support. It has a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera. It gets an HDR10+ certification and offers 1300 nits of peak brightness.

It has a Snapdragon 778G+ SoC under the hood. The chipset is based on a 6nm process and is paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The phone also offers 256GB of internal storage.
iQOO Neo 6 has a Snapdragon 870 SoC under the hood. The chipset is the most powerful one in this comparison and is paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The phone also offers up to 256GB of internal memory. The Neo 6 runs Android 12 out of the box. It has a layer of Funtouch OS 12 on top.
The Nord 2T 5G runs Oxygen OS 12.1 based on Android 12 out of the box. It has a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC. The chipset is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The Phone (1) and the Nord 2T pack a 4500 mAh battery under the hood. While the Phone (1) supports only 33W fast charging and 15W wireless charging, the Nord 2T supports 80W wired fast charging out of the box. Nothing is also not providing a fast charger in the box.
The iQOO Neo 6 has the biggest battery in this comparison. The phone packs a 4700 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

When it comes to performance and fast charging, the iQOO Neo 6 clearly wins here with its Snapdragon 870 SoC and 80W fast charging combination. It also has a bigger battery and display compared to the other two phones in this price range. The phone falls behind when it comes to the design with its plastic build.
The Phone (1) has a unique design with a premium glass build that is transparent on the back. The Glyph interface adds to the uniqueness of the transparent back. It also packs a Snapdragon 778G+ SoC, which is an upper mid-range chipset. The Phone (1) is also the only smartphone in this comparison to feature wireless charging support.
Nord 2T 5G can be recommended to those who want an affordable OxygenOS 12 experience. The phone is also fairly compact and comes with a glass build. Its performance unit should not invite any issues but the competition offers better value for money. Also, while the competition offers a 120Hz refresh rate display, the Nord 2T 5G only comes with a 90Hz panel.
