Nothing is gearing up to launch the Nothing Phone (2). As per the announcement, the Nothing Phone (2) will launch on July 11 in India and other global markets. Ahead of the Nothing Phone (2) launch, a new Nothing product with the model number D395 has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website.
Tipster Mukul Sharma spotted the upcoming Nothing D395 on the BIS certification website. The product has been listed under the smartwatches category on BIS which suggests that Nothing might be planning to enter into another consumer tech segment. The company, as of now, has a presence in two product categories – Smartphones and TWS. Let us take a closer look at the details.
While the #NothingPhone2 is right around the corner, if you remember, I spotted this trademark, dubbed CMF By Nothing a couple of months ago.
Well, turns out it's a smartwatch.
Have also spotted the Nothing D395 in the smartwatches category on the Indian BIS certification 😀… pic.twitter.com/0npHX0Zy0r— Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) June 20, 2023
Mukul took to Twitter to share the screenshots obtained from the BIS certification website. The listing doesn’t reveal anything about the upcoming product except its model number. A few months ago, Nothing founder Carl Pei shared his thoughts after trying the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. He said that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro feels kind of useless to him.
Got the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro on Sunday to learn about smart watches, but I don't know what to use it for… Feels kind of useless? What do you use smart watches for?

In response to a user query about Nothing’s plan to enter into the smartwatch category, Carl just said “Learning about the category”. However, this happened almost four months ago and since then Carl hasn’t said anything about the category.
In related news, Nothing is all set to launch the Nothing Phone (2) – the successor of last year’s Nothing Phone (1). The Nothing Phone (2) is confirmed to be more premium compared to its predecessor. This time around, Nothing has decided to go with the flagship tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor instead of a mid-range Snapdragon 7 series processor.
The Nothing Phone (2) is confirmed to feature a bigger battery and a larger display compared to its predecessor. The smartphone, as revealed by the company, will feature a 4700mAH battery unit. The display on the Phone (2) will be 0.15-inch bigger than its predecessor. Similar to other Nothing products, the Nothing Phone (2) will be sold exclusively via Flipkart in India.
The Nothing Phone (2) will feature a GLYPH interface similar to its predecessor. The upcoming handset will follow the company’s transparent design philosophy. In fact, the brand, this time, decided to make a transparent Type-C cable for the Nothing Phone (2). Nothing will also unveil the Nothing OS 2.0 alongside its upcoming smartphone in July.
Nothing has confirmed that the Nothing OS 2.0 for the Nothing Phone (1) will be rolled out in August. It is not clear if the Nothing Phone (2) will ship with Nothing OS 2.0 out of the box or will receive an update for the same later.
