
ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia is reportedly in the works to launch its latest gaming smartphone, dubbed the Nubia Red Magic 5G. As the name suggests, the device will feature 5G capabilities. So far, the Nubia Red Magic 5G was a part of various leaks and rumors, but things have finally started getting official. The first instance comes as a result of the Geekbench database the Nubia Red Magic 5G has been spotted on. Let’s have a look at what all the Geekbench listing for the device has revealed.
Nubia Red Magic 5G Geekbench Listing Suggests 8GB RAM, Snapdragon 865, Android 10 OS
A Chinese leakster, who goes by the name Digital Chat Station, claims that the device that has appeared on the Geekbench database is the Nubia Red Magic 5G itself. The leakster confirmed the Geekbench listing of the power SUPER_DEVICE and SuperCharger SC-B0 to be of the Nubia Red Magic 5G smartphone. Furthermore, the leak suggests that the Nubia Red Magic 5G will flaunt a 2K display panel made by Samsung.
We have also been able to spot two variants of the Nubia Red Magic 5G, which are listed as power SUPER_DEVICE and SuperCharger SC-B0. The former has been listed both on the Geekbench v4 and the Geekbench v5 database with 12GB of RAM. We, however, were able to spot an 8GB variant of the device on the Geekbench listing.
As seen in the Geekbench database image, the Nubia Red Magic 5G (listed as power SUPER_DEVICE) has scored 4,308 in the single-core test and 13,537 in the multi-core test (Geekbench 4). On Geekbench 5, the device has scored 934 in the single-core test and 3,444 in the multi-core test. In two more tests, the device has given almost similar scores. The 8GB RAM variant, however, scored 4,308 in the single-core test and 13,537 in the multi-core test.
The Geekbench listing of the device also confirms that the Nubia Red Magic 5G will run on the latest Android 10 OS out of the box. Under the hood, the Nubia Red Magic 5G will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G platform, which will be coupled with up to 12GB of RAM.
