Nubia is gearing up for the Red Magic 7 series launch in China. The company has confirmed that it will launch the gaming smartphone series in its home country on February 17. At the launch, the company is expected to announce at least two new flagship smartphones. These include the Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro and the vanilla model.

Details of the two devices have surfaced online in the past. The latest leak involves a Geekbench listing, which confirms some of the key performance unit details of the upcoming gaming smartphone from Nubia. Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro Geekbench

Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro will feature top-tier specifications found on a gaming phone. The device is set to debut on February 17 in China. Ahead of the launch, the Geekbench listing has confirmed the performance unit specs of the device. It is listed on the benchmark website with the model number NX709J.

As per the listing, the phone draws power from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The octa-core processor has a prime X2 core clocked at 3.0GHz along with three performance cores clocked at 2.5GHz. it also has four low-power cores clocked at 1.79GHz. Nubia has confirmed that the phone will have an independent gaming chip to offer an enhanced gaming experience. It will also have a large VC liquid-cooled plate

The variant listed on Geekbench has 16GB of RAM. We can expect Nubia to launch the phone in 8GB/ 12GB and 18GB RAM options as well. The phone will also come with 128GB/ 256GB and 512GB storage options at least.

The Red Magic 7 Pro scored 1264 and 3744 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests. It runs Android 12 out of the box. The device will have a layer of RedMagic UI on top of Android. Alongside the Geekbench listing, the phone is also certified on the WiFi Alliance website. It confirms that the phone will support 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz WiFi and run Android 12.

The Pro and vanilla models are said to feature a triple-camera setup on the back. There will be a 64MP main camera sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera sensor and a 2MP macro/ depth sensor. For selfies and streaming, the phone will have a 16MP front camera.

It is likely to sport a 6.8-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and 165Hz refresh rate support.
