ZTE is working on the launch of its new flagship smartphone. The company launched the RedMagic 6S Pro late last year as an upgrade to the Red Magic 6 series. It looks like a new gaming flagship smartphone is in the works. Nubia RedMagic 7 is listed on the FCC certification website ahead of the launch.
The listing on FCC reveals many details of the upcoming gaming smartphone. It not only reveals the battery size but also confirms the fast charging details of the device. Let’s take a look at the Nubia RedMagic 7 specifications and features revealed via the FCC listing.
Nubia RedMagic 7 FCC
Nubia RedMagic 7 is expected to launch soon in China. The gaming smartphone is listed on FCC with the model number NX679J. As per the listing, the RedMagic series gaming smartphone will pack a 2190mAh Dual cell battery, which when combined will be 4380 mAh. The device will come with support for 65W fast charging support, according to the FCC listing. The charging adapter here has the model number NB-A20825C.
It is worth noting that the phone was previously listed on 3C with 165W fast charging support, which was listed with the adapter having the model number STC-A59152050AC-Z. It could be possible that the China variant will have 165W fast charging support whereas the global model could feature 65W fast charging.
The listing on FCC also confirms that the gaming smartphone will come with 12GB of RAM. This is no surprise as the company has launched its devices with more RAM in the past. The 12GB RAM variant will come with 256GB of internal storage. It will come in a Black colour variant. One can expect more colour options.
The rear panel schematic of the phone is also listed on the FCC website. However, it does not reveal many details. However, the schematics do show that the power button is on the right edge, whereas the volume keys are placed on the left edge of the frame.
The phone was previously spotted on Geekbench and TENAA. The TENAA listing revealed that the phone has a 64MP triple-camera setup on the back. It will have an 8MP front camera as well. The phone will sport a 6.8-inch Full HD+ display and is expected to feature 165Hz refresh rate support.
As per the Geekbench listing, the phone has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with 18GB of RAM. It runs Android 12 out of the box as well. The launch date remains unknown but we can expect the phone to launch in the coming weeks in China. What are your thoughts on the new gaming smartphone from Nubia?
