At the time, Nubia did not reveal the launch timeline. It is expected to launch the Nubia RedMagic 8 series in January or February 2023. The Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro will sit at the top of the lineup. The company is expected to announce the official launch date soon.

The launch, meanwhile, seems imminent as the RedMagic 8 Pro has been spotted on the TENAA website. The listing on TENAA reveals the design of the upcoming Nubia gaming smartphone. Let’s take a look at the Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro design, specifications and other details leaked ahead of the launch.

The Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro Could Feature a Transparent Back

The Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro has been spotted on the TENAA website again with the model number NX729J. The device’s design has leaked online. The updated listing shows that the phone continues to sport a triple-camera setup on the back. There is a vertically aligned camera module on the back, which is at the top centre. The LED flash is placed above the camera module. The phone has sort of a boxy design and might remind you of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

On the front, the display seems to be surrounded by some thin bezels as there is no visible notch cutout. The phone’s frame is also flat and houses the volume buttons on the left. The right edge has a power button, which doubles up as a fingerprint scanner.

A previous listing on TENAA revealed that the phone will sport a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 1116×2480-pixel resolution. It is rumoured to support a 165Hz refresh rate at least. There will be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood. The phone will also support up to 165W fast charging, according to the details revealed via a 3C listing.

The phone is rumoured to launch with two different battery options. One of the variants will have a rated battery capacity of 5720mAh, whereas the other will have a 4900mAh unit.

The rear camera setup is also said to feature a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP secondary sensor and a 2MP macro/ depth sensor. For selfies and streaming, there will be an 8MP front camera. The phone is likely to launch with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It might also get an updated version of the Red Core 1 chip, which was claimed o enhance the gaming and audio experience. We can also expect the phone to run Android 13 out of the box with a layer of RedMagic OS on top.
