Nubia has launched the RedMagic 8 Pro series globally. The new gaming smartphone is the first in the world to feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The device was launched last month in China. The smartphone has been launched in global markets with the same design. The logo, however, has changed. Nubia has also same some changes in hardware for the global models.

The RedMagic 8 Pro has been launched as Matte, whereas the RedMagic 8 Pro+ has been launched as Void. Both models have been launched with a single storage option. Let’s take a look at the Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro price, specifications and other details.

Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro Price and Specifications 

The RedMagic 8 Pro Matte has been launched in global markets with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It is priced at $650 (roughly Rs 53,200). The Void variant has been launched globally with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It is priced at $800 (roughly Rs 65,500).

The phones have been launched in select markets, such as the US, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Latin America. There is no word on whether the phones will be launched in India.

In terms of hardware, the biggest change that the global variants get is the battery department. Both models pack a 6000mAh battery and support 65W fast charging. In comparison, the RedMagic 8 Pro in China packs a 6000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, whereas the Pro+ model packs a 5000mAh battery with 165W fast charging support.

The rest of the specs are the same. Both models feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. There are many cooling mechanisms in place to keep thermals in check. These include a built-in fan, an air duct, a 3D ice-grade dual pump and up to 10 layers of heat-dissipation materials.

The phones feature a 6.8-inch OLED display. The screen has support for a 120Hz refresh rate, 960Hz touch sampling rate and 1300 nits of peak brightness. There is an under-screen 16MP front camera. The phones have 520Hz shoulder triggers, which can be customised for various games. 

There is a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phones also feature a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50MP Samsung GN5 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor.
