The Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro is expected to launch soon. Nubia has already confirmed that it will launch the world’s first gaming smartphone with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The company is expected to unveil the RedMagic 8 series early next year. The device could debut first in China, followed by a few other markets. The RedMagic 8 Pro has now been spotted on the TENAA website. The listing on TENAA reveals some key specifications of the upcoming Nubia gaming smartphone.

The Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro will compete against the likes of the upcoming ASUS ROG 7 series and the Legion gaming smartphones when launched. The device is already confirmed to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The TENAA listing further reveals that the RedMagic 8 Pro will feature an SoC with a peak clock speed of 3.2GHz. The gaming smartphone will sport a 6.8-inch OLED display with an 1116×2480-pixel resolution. We can expect it to offer support for a 165Hz refresh rate as well.

The device will come in two battery options. One of the variants will have a rated battery capacity of 5720mAh, whereas the other will have a 4900mAh unit. The device was recently spotted on the 3C certification website, which revealed that it will offer support for 80W and 165W fast charging support. The device will weigh about 228 grams and measure 163.98×76.35×8.9mm,

On the back, the phone will feature a triple-camera setup. It will come with a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP secondary sensor, which most likely will be an ultrawide camera and a 2MP tertiary sensor. For selfies, there will be an 8MP front camera.

According to the TENAA listing, the phone will launch with 8GB/ 12GB and 16GB of RAM. There will be 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options as well. Other details of the phone are currently under wraps. We can expect the RedMagic 8 Pro to feature an updated version of the Red Core 1 chip, which was packed inside the RedMagic 7 Pro for enhancing the gaming and audio experience. The device will also come with a cooling system under the hood. Lastly, there could be shoulder triggers supported for select compatible games.
