With consecutive box office failures, Akshay is undoubtedly going through a dry spell in his career. In actuality, since Sooryavanshi, which was launched amid the pandemic, he hasn’t produced a successful project. The most recent entry on the list is currently his Selfie.
It was often said that OMG 2 was having trouble finding a distributor because of Akshay’s string of box office flops. But now, the teaser of the movie is finally released by the makers.
According to reports, the producers of the movie had originally planned to release it directly on a digital platform, either Voot or Jio Cinema. Finally, OMG2 will officially be released in theatres on August 11, 2023, which is an Independence Day weekend.

Viacom 18 studios have made and released the teaser, which means that it will come onto Jio Cinema after the theatrical run of the movie ends. Till then viewers will have to wait. It is also unclear at this stage whether the movie will be streamed free or will be packaged with Jio Cinema’s Premium subscription plan.

The 1.26-minute teaser of the movie shows Akshay Kumar playing Lord Shiva this time and helping out Pankaj Tripathi in his journey of truth. The teaser was released barely an hour ago but was liked by 65k people and has 4,751 views and increasing.
The movie starts with Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam in prominent roles. The movie is directed by Amit Rai, who has also written the story, screenplay, and dialogue for the movie. The movie is produced by Viacom 18 studios in association with Akshay’s Cape of Good Films. Jyoti Deshpande, Swaroop Paresh Rawal, and Vipul D Shah are the other producers of the movie. Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi is the creative producer of the movie. Amlendu Chaudhary handled the camera and Suvir Nath edited the movie.

Akshay Kumar’s Oh My God with Paresh Rawal got tremendous response from the audience and the makers are ready with its sequel to replicate the success. OMG, the first part was given a rating of 8.1 on IMDb.
