The public beta update for One UI is currently not available in India for the S21 series. We can expect Samsung to make the beta update available for Indian Galaxy S21 series users very soon. While we wait for that, here’s a quick look at the One UI 5.0 beta update details.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Series Gets One UI 5.0 Beta

Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 5.0 beta update based on Android 13 to Galaxy S21 series users in select markets. The update is available for Galaxy S21 series users in South Korea and the United Kingdom (UK).

Since it is a public beta update, the new One UI software is available for download and installation only for those who have signed up for the program. If you are interested, you can sign up on the Samsung Members app. Once you register your details, you can expect to receive the new update notification within a few minutes.

The final update is expected to roll out to all eligible devices starting in October 2022. It will first roll out to the latest Galaxy S22 series.

The new One UI beta update brings the Android 13 colour palette feature along with stacked widgets, opt-in notifications for individual apps, etc. The update also brings Optical Character Recognition, aka OCR, to the Gallery app. The feature recognises text in images, allowing users to copy and paste it into other apps.
