OnePlus launched the Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition today in India. The special edition smartphone gets some design tweaks and software tricks over the standard Nord 2. Another OnePlus smartphone series in the news lately is the company’s upcoming flagship. According to reports, the OnePlus 10 series will debut in Q1 of 2022. The company has not yet confirmed the official launch date of its upcoming flagship series. While we wait for that, a new report has revealed the OnePlus 10 series launch timeline and other details. The 91Mobiles report states that the next-generation OnePlus flagship smartphone series is currently under closed testing. Let’s take a look at the OnePlus 10 series launch timeline details, specs, etc.
OnePlus 10 series launch timeline
OnePlus 10 series could debut earlier than expected. If a 91Mobiles report is to be believed, the company could launch the OnePlus 10 models in late January or early February. There is no word from the company. However, tipster Yogesh Brar and 91Mobiles claim that the device is currently under private testing in Europe and China. The timeline seems to have been pushed ahead to compete against the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, which is rumoured to debut on February 8.
We can expect at least two devices under the series. These include the standard OnePlus 10 and 10 Pro. Details of the latter smartphone have leaked in the past. A prototype design of the phone leaked by OnLeaks revealed that the phone will have a square-shaped camera module design, with the left side bending into the frame. The camera module will house a triple-camera setup. There is no word on the camera sensor details at the moment. A recent report claimed that the device will feature a periscope lens with 5x optical zoom support.
Other details rumoured include a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 898/ Snapdragon 8 Gen1, and 65W fast charging/ 125W fast charging. The device will also feature a unified OS developed by OnePlus and Oppo.
