OnePlus, last month, launched the OnePlus 11R smartphone in the Indian market. The OnePlus 11R is the company’s latest flagship killer segment smartphone that competes against the likes of the Moto Edge 30 Fusion, Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, Realme GT 2, and iPhone 12. Now, the brand has started rolling out the first software update for the OnePlus 11R users in India.

OnePlus 11R update comes with the firmware version CPH2487_11.A.08 and weighs about 155MBs in size. The OnePlus 11R A.08 brings with it several system, camera, and communication improvements. OnePlus took it to the OnePlus Community Forum to make a formal announcement for the same. Let us take a closer look at the improvements that the update brings to the OnePlus 11R.

OnePlus 11R OxygenOS 13 A.08 Update: Changelogs and Features

OnePlus 11R A.08 update brings with it improved system stability and improved system performance. The update also brings several camera improvements including the improved photos taken with Night mode. The company has also improved the retouching effects of the front camera.

OnePlys says that it has also improved the camera performance for more vivid colour, greater exposure effect, and higher clarity. The company has also improved the stability of Bluetooth as WiFi connections. Take a look at the official changelogs below,

OnePlus says that as usual, the update rollout is incremental, which means that the update is available only for a limited number of OnePlus 11 users right now. However, we can expect the company to begin a broader rollout in the coming days.

OnePlus reiterates that the OnePlus 11R is eligible for only 3 Android update and four years of security patch updates. This means that OnePlus’s new update policy of 4 Android updates and 5 years of security patch updates is not applicable for the OnePlus 11R.

The OnePlus 11R comes pre-loaded with OxygenOS 13, based on Android 13, out of the box and is eligible for receiving Android 14, Android 15, and Android 16 updates in the future. The smartphone will receive security updates at least until the end of 2026.
