OnePlus recently confirmed that it would launch the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro smartphone soon in China. The company has announced that it will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. OnePlus also announced that the device would come with the largest vapour chamber (VP) on a smartphone. The Chinese OEM had announced that the upcoming OnePlus 12 smartphone will also be equipped with the same VC. Recently, OnLeaks shared the first CAD renders of the upcoming device. The tipster later revealed some of the key specifications of the upcoming device. Popular tipster Digital Chat Station has tipped some other specifications of the forthcoming device.
OnePlus 12 Expected Specifications
A new post on Weibo from DCS reveals that the device will have a 50MP Sony IMX 9xx primary rear camera. OnePlus will equip the device with a large 1/1.4x” sensor. The primary rear camera will be paired with a secondary 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. OnePlus will also equip the device with a tertiary periscope lens. Digital Chat Station reveals that the device will have a 64MP Omnivision OV64B periscope lens with 3x optical zoom.
OnePlus will also continue the Hasselblad partnership for the upcoming smartphones. A previous leak had tipped that OnePlus will equip the device with a 32MP selfie camera. Another post from DCS confirms that the device will pack a large 5400 mAh battery. The upcoming OnePlus 12 will bring support for 100W fast wired charging tech. The device will also feature support for 50W wireless charging tech.
OnePlus will continue to ship the smartphone with a SuperVOOC charging adapter and cable in the box. The tipster had previously revealed that the upcoming device will be equipped with a large 6.7-inch OLED display with a QHD+ resolution. The display will be equipped with a 120Hz refresh rate, similar to previous OnePlus smartphones. The upcoming device is expected to feature an LTPO panel with support for Doly Vision, HDR10+, and more.
The CAD renders of the device reveal that it will have a punch-hole cut-out in the centre. OnePlus 12 will be equipped with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Qualcomm will soon unveil the chipset at the upcoming Qualcomm summit. Qualcomm will equip the chipset with a Snapdragon X75 modem for satellite connectivity. The chipset will be built on a 4nm process and paired with Adreno 750 GPU.
The chipset will be paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The smartphone will run on Oxygen OS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box. OnePlus will also continue to equip the smartphone with an alert slider, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and more. The smartphone is tipped to launch in December in China. Another tipster had tipped that the device’s global launch will be in February 2024.
