The OnePlus Night Scape Mode for capturing images in low or poor lighting conditions is now available for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. The mode is embedded in the Camera app that is on its third iteration. The Camera APK v3.0.0 is available for interested OnePlus smartphone users.
OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus 6T, its latest flagship Android smartphone that succeeded the OnePlus 6. Interestingly, among other improvements, the OnePlus development team took a lot of efforts to improve the imaging capabilities. In addition to improved optics and camera lenses, the team significantly developed the Camera App with several features. One of the features is the Night Scape Mode that uses the hardware and AI-driven features to capture a lot of visual data and process the same to offer better looking photos that were taken in poor lighting conditions.

Older OnePlus Smartphones Get New Software Refinements And Features
Interestingly, OnePlus reaffirmed its commitment towards the older OnePlus smartphones at the OnePlus 6T launch event. True to its word, the company has been updating the older OnePlus devices. Moreover, the company has now embedded the eagerly awaited Night Scape Mode in the Camera app, which is now on its third version. OnePlus 5/5T users, who still actively use their devices, can download and use the Camera App APK v3.0.0 to start using the feature.
Incidentally, the app is not officially out yet. Moreover, a few users have indicated the app installs but don’t contain the feature. Few others claimed the feature doesn’t activate. It is quite possible that the application contains a few bugs. In any case, the presence of the Night Scape Mode in a Camera app for older OnePlus devices strongly indicates the company is working on a stable release of the app. In other words, users could simply have to wait a little longer to get the Night Scape Mode in OnePlus 5/5T through official updates.
The Camera app APK v3.0.0 is available to download and install. However, we reiterate that MySmartPrice does not promote or advocate the use of untested software. We are thankful to Pranjal (@pranjal_goel_) who notified about the Camera app and the Night Scape Mode for the OnePlus 5/5T. Incidentally, the app and the feature could be currently available to the beta testing community.
OnePlus 5/5T Still Relevant Devices
OnePlus has clearly not forgotten about the OnePlus 5/5T smartphones that launched last year. The company already has an OxygenOS based on Android 9 Pie for these smartphones. The beta builds are available in the Open Beta Testing program. The latest stable OxygenOS build for OnePlus 5/5T could arrive very soon, perhaps even before the year runs out.
With 5.5-inch Full HD+ Optic AMOLED display, Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB/8GB RAM, up to 128GB internal storage, 16MP+20MP dual rear camera, and other features, the OnePlus 5 and the 5T are still quite relevant and competitive OnePlus smartphone.
